Gridlock 2
18:30 & still stuck.
ADDENDUM
It took us another half-an-hour to reach the Causeway, which had incoming traffic backed up across it as well. I'm guessing it was a combination of the rain, Friday night rush hour and superstition (Fri 13th) that cause the gridlock. It's the worst I've seen for a while.

A combination of the rain, Friday night rush hour, superstition and a burst water main.

Hey... do you think a scooter would be viable in perth? my friend and i are deciding about a car or scooters...
just thoughts.
keet
ps. sorry about the traffic.
Very viable and there are lots around. Perth even has its own manufacturer: Vmoto. They're very good scooters and extremely popular.
No I missed the news tonight. As soon as we got home we put on the DVDs we'd picked up on the way home.
Bearing in mind that we were expecting to hop on the 5:28 and be home by 6, but were still stuck in city traffic at 6:30...
Factor in a stopover at DVD heaven and the debate over which DVDs and how many, and another stopover to pick up dinner because, let's face it, it's dark and cold and nobody can be buggered with cooking.
Or feeding Angry Cat.
That was absolutely nothing on the ABC about the road washout when it happened. The gridlock started at 3pm and there was not one hint of it on the ABC newsite until the next day. Thanks a bloody lot, Auntie. What the hell do I read you for?
